My land is Green and my blood is green.
Nigeria, a country of vast natural resources and an amazing and energetic population.
A country where so much brings us together yet so much sets us apart. Our energy, our love for one another, our passion for life and for the living. Yet, same energy used now used as a tool to separate us along tribal and religious lines.
A country of many cultures with many struggles fought and victories won. Tales referred to as the labors of our heroes past, tales told from different sides, each side seeking supremacy by attacking the heroes of the other side, as such we struggle to find national heroes.
A country with so much internal issues yet still remains the well courted bride of the international community, investors and institutions alike. Sometimes, it seems the outsiders believing in Nigeria more than the Nigerians believe in Nigeria.
The tides may be against you, Nigeria, and though you may not see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, but it is there. Oh yes, it is surely there.
A new dawn is upon you, Nigeria. A day when your people scattered all over the world will hold their heads up and proclaim "my passport is green, my blood is green". A day when we celebrate unity over adversity, peace over insecurity, abundance over lack, competence over nepotism.
A day when we will all unite and vote for the future of the country, where the leaders of tomorrow take their rightful place. Smile Nigeria; That day is now.
The campaign lines are open. Let your vote reflect not just your values, let is represent the future you want for the generation coming after us.
The journey of a better Nigeria begins with you.
In GOD we trust, in voting we act.
